Noel Arguelles Reinstated Starting Tonight

SPRINGDALE, AR - The Naturals' parent club, the Kansas City Royals announced a pair of transactions on Friday affecting the Northwest Arkansas Naturals' roster. Noel Arguelles has been reinstated from the Temporary Inactive list, and reliever Bryan Paukovits has been placed on the seven-day disabled list retroactive to July 25.

Argulles is scheduled to make his team leading 19th start of the season tonight for the Naturals. He ranks second on the team in innings pitched at 79.1 trailing only Michael Mariot's 85.0 innings. The left-hander is 2-10 so far this season with a 7.60 ERA and 32 strikeouts. Arguelles was originally signed by the Royals as a non-drafted free agent in January of 2010.

Paukovits has gone 2-0 this season with a 5.09 ERA, appearing in 29 games so far this season. The big right-hander is second on the team in appearances, and leads the team in relief innings pitched with 55.2. He has issued only 27 walks, and fanned 45 hitters this season. Paukovits was originally selected in the 44th round of the 2006 draft.

Following the transactions, the Naturals' roster is at 24, one below the Texas League limit of 25 active players.
