Frisco RoughRiders News Release
Arlington, TX - Texas Rangers RHP Neftali Feliz will make his first start on rehab assignment for Frisco (AA) on Monday when the RoughRiders host San Antonio at Dr Pepper Ballpark.
Feliz had been scheduled to start for Round Rock (AAA) on Sunday night, but the Express' game versus Memphis at Dell Diamond was rained out. With Round Rock going on the road on Monday, Feliz' start was moved to Frisco.
Feliz is scheduled to start and pitch 2.0 innings for Frisco on Monday. If all goes well, his next scheduled start would be a 3.0-inning outing on Friday, when Round Rock returns home to host Omaha at Dell Diamond.
Feliz was placed on the 15-day disabled list on May 21, retroactive to May 19, with right elbow inflammation and was transferred to the 60-day DL on June 16. The right-hander is 3-1, 3.16 in 8 games/7 starts with the Rangers this season.
