
Aces Aim to Strike out Hunger

RENO, Nev.- The Reno Aces will aim to Strike Out Hunger Friday, July 13, with a food drive presented by U.S. Foods to benefit the Food Bank of Northern Nevada.
Wives of Aces players and coaches, along with food bank volunteers, will be outside the stadium before the game, which begins at 7:05 p.m., to collect nonperishable food items. Fans who donate will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win Aces memorabilia.
Peanut butter, tuna and canned fruit are some of the most in-demand items that are requested.
The Food Bank of Northern Nevada distributes more than 10 million pounds of food annually in a 90,000 square mile area, feeding 97,000 people per month.
