Aces Return for First June Home Series

RENO, Nev.- The Reno Aces return home Thursday night for a four-game series, the first of only two home series in June, that will feature beer specials, fireworks, a baseball card set giveaway and Father's Day activities, the club announced today. First pitch is slated for 7:05 p.m. for the first three games, with a 1:05 p.m. start Sunday.

The series which pits the Aces against the Tucson Padres, kicks off with a Coors Light Thirsty Thursday(tm) presented by ESPN Radio 94.5 FM and Reno News & Review. Fans can enjoy $2 beer specials through the middle of the fifth inning.

Friday's game will include Saint Mary's Fireworks Friday presented by KRNV News 4, with fireworks immediately following the game. Fans are encouraged to break out their prom gear to celebrate the Prom Night theme. A photo station and decorations will be set up, and dressed-up fans will be invited onto the field for a post-game dance party.

The Aces will also celebrate Daddy-Daughter Date Night on Friday, with a special $45 package that includes two Outfield Reserved tickets, two hot dogs and two sodas. Participants in this plan will also be welcomed onto the field for the post-game fireworks show. Additional children's packages are available.

Saturday will be highlighted by the team baseball card set giveaway presented by the Nevada Dairy Council and KOLO 8 News Now. The game will also be televised on my21 TV.

Sunday's game will include the Renown Children's Hospital Family Funday. Fans can play baseball bingo for the opportunity to win an autograph mini bat, and one lucky fan will win a game-worn jersey just by participating. Father's Day Catch on the Field presented by KTVN Channel 2 News will take place pre-game. Fans interested in participating should arrive by 11:45 a.m. and get in the special line at the Rotunda Entrance. The first 300 kids will receive special softee balls, and no hard balls will be allowed on the field.

The Aces are also hosting K's for Cancer presented by Reno News & Review on Sunday. For just $18, fans can purchase a special package that includes an Outfield Reserved ticket and a K's for Cancer tee, with $3 from each ticket sold benefitting the American Cancer Society. The Aces will be wearing special K's for Cancer fundraiser jerseys that will be auctioned off during the game.

Kids will be invited to come onto the field to run the bases after the games on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
