Club de Foot Montreal News Release
MONTREAL, Quebec - The Montreal Impact U21 (2-0-3) will try to keep its unbeaten streak intact as the team faces SC Waterloo, at the sports complex of St-Jean-Vianney College, in RDP, at 2pm (ET) on Saturday. This matchup will serve as the team's fourth home game of the season in the Canadian Soccer League.
The game is open to the general public and admittance is free of charge.
"The game against Waterloo is the first in a stretch of key matchups if we want to solidify our position in the standings," said Impact U21 head coach Philippe Eullaffroy. "Saturday, we would like to see more efficiency in front of goal to establish control of the entire game."
The Impact is coming off of a win versus TFC Academy last Sunday, shutting out its MLS academy counterparts 1-0 on a goal by former TFC player Stefan Vukovic, scoring in his first match versus his former team. Vukovic now leads the Impact U21 in scoring with three goals, while midfielders Maxim Tissot and Wandrille Lefevre have two goals each this season.
Lefevre returns to action following a two-game suspension that he incurred after being shown a red card versus SC Toronto in Toronto. Defender Kai Morton looks to keep his streak going against Waterloo, having played every minute so far this season.
Midfielder Kevin Luarca made his first appearance of the season after being sidelined with an injury, coming on as a second half substitute versus TFC.
