(Central Islip, N.Y.) - The Long Island Ducks were defeated by the York Revolution 6-1 in game two of a day/night doubleheader on Saturday night at Bethpage Ballpark.

York plated two runs in the first against Ducks starter Mike Loree on back-to-back solo homers by Scott Grimes and Ramon Castro. Another run in the second on a wild pitch and three in the fourth on a RBI single from Bobby Kielty, and a two-run homer from James Shanks stretched the lead to 6-0. Bryant Nelson added a solo homer in the eighth for Long Island, but it wasn't enough.

York starter Shawn Hill (1-0) got the win, as he tossed six and one-third innings, allowing four hits while striking out seven. Loree (2-1) suffered the loss, yielding six runs on 10 hits with five strikeouts in five innings.
