Cody Decker Powers San Antonio to Victory

San Antonio - The San Antonio Missions defeated the Midland RockHounds 3-2 in the opening game of a double-header Friday Night at Wolff Stadium.Midland struck first with a pair of runs in the third off San Antonio starter Hayden Beard. RockHounds third baseman Josh Horton grounded into a double play but left fielder Conner Crumbliss scored in the process. Center fielder Michael Choice then followed with a solo home run to right.
The Missions tied it up in their half of the frame, courtesy of a home run from third baseman Edinson Rincon and an RBI single off the bat of Jaff Decker that scored Reymond Fuentes with the tying run.
Cody Decker's 10th home run of the season in the fourth made it 3-2 San Antonio and proved to be the difference in the game. Beard earned his second win of the season and Jeremy McBryde notched his second save in as many chances.
It was the Missions fourth win in their last five games and their fifth win in their last seven games.
