----- Today, the SeaWolves look to get back on track after back-to-back home losses as they take on the Altoona Curve (Pittsburgh Pirates) in the final game of a four-game series at Jerry Uht Park. Last night, the Curve used a pair of early three run innings en route to an 11-8 win over Erie. In the last two games, Erie pitchers have allowed 18 runs and have walked 17...Today, righty James Avery takes the mound for the SeaWolves making his fifth start of the season first against the Curve. Avery has won back-to-back and three of his first four starts. Avery earned a win in his last start against Binghamton on April 28. In the game, he allowed a run on two hits with three walks and four strikeouts in a season-high 6.2 innings pitched...Lefty Kris Johnson takes the mound for the Curve making his sixth appearance and second start. He took a no-decision in his last outing against Akron on April 29. In the game, Johnson allowed an unearned run on two hits with three walks and a strikeout in three innings of work. His lone appearance against the 'Wolves came on April 6 where he tossed 1.2 innings in relief and he earned the save...The SeaWolves hit the road following today's game as they head to Reading for three games over the weekend and three games in Akron next week.

----- - Altoona leads the season series over Erie 4-2. The SeaWolves and Curve meet 23 times in 2012. - Erie is 4-9 at Jerry Uht Park. - The SeaWolves have committed 16 errors and have a .982 team fielding percentage. - Jordan Lennerton is tied for the EL lead with six home runs. Lennerton has not homered since 4/19 at BOW. - Rob Brantly leads the league with a .627 slugging percentage, is second in the league lead with 10 doubles and is tied for second with 13 extra-base hits. - Erie pitchers have walked 119 hitters, the most in the EL. - Erie is last in the league with a 4.91 team ERA. Altoona is ninth with a 4.06 team ERA. - Erie is third in the league with a .262 team batting average. Altoona is ninth in the league, hitting .250 as a team. - Niuman Romero is second in the EL with 34 hits. Romero is also the second- toughest to strike out in the league, striking out just one every 12.00 plate appearances.
