B-Mets RHP Zack Wheeler Placed on Disabled List

Binghamton Rumble Ponies News Release
FLUSHING, NY - The New York Mets today announced that Binghamton righthanded pitcher Zack Wheeler will be placed on the 7-Day Disabled List, retroactive to May 2, with a right middle fingernail avulsion.
Wheeler, 21, who was scheduled to start tomorrow, is 1-2 with a 1.75 ERA (five earned runs/25.2 innings) in five starts with Binghamton. RHP Gonzalez Germen will start for Binghamton in his place.
