THIS WEEK'S GAMES

Thursday, Apr. 19 vs. Chicago Wolves

AT&T Center, 7:00 p.m.

The Rampage open their best-of-five first round playoff series with the Chicago Wolves on Thursday at the AT&T Center. San Antonio, the Western Conference's sixth seed, went 4-0-0-0 during the regular season against Chicago, the West's third seed.

Saturday, Apr. 21 vs. Chicago Wolves

AT&T Center, 7:00 p.m.

San Antonio hosts Game 2 against the Wolves on Saturday night at home. The Wolves won the Western Conference's Midwest Division this year with a record of 42-27-4-3 and finished the season on a 6-2-2-0 run.

Apr. 19 and 21: On Thursday and Sat- urday fans can get $1 draft beer and $1 fountain soda.

IN IT TO WIN IT: When the Charlotte Checkers lost to the Milwaukee Admirals yesterday, the Rampage clinched their third playoff berth in franchise history. San Antonio finished the season in third place in the Western Division and in sixth place in the Western Confer- ence with a 41-30-3-2 record and 87 points.

CARRYING THE LOAD: San Antonio goaltender Jacob Markstrom finished the season with a record of 8-2-0 in his last 11 games. During that time frame he posted one shutout, a .947 save percent, and a 1.87 goals against average. He also started the Rampage's last nine contests.

KEARNS FINISHES STRONG: Rampage center Bracken Kearns ended the best statisti- cal year of his career with three goals and two assists in San Antonio's last five games. Kearns' points-per-game average of .754 in 2011-12 (52 points in 69 games) easily sur- passed his previous best of .638 that he set in 2009-10 with Rockford.

THOMAS TAKES CHARGE: San Antonio's Bill Thomas scored twice last week to extend his career-high mark for goals to 27. Thomas led the Rampage in that category this sea- son and added 25 assists. After scoring one goal in his first 12 games this year, he posted 26 markers in his last 53 games to score at a rate of nearly every other contest.

ICE CHIPS: Nolan Yonkman - Defenseman

In San Antonio's last four games of the regular season, the team's most important contests of 2011-12, Rampage defense- man Nolan Yonkman posted a rating of plus-6. He lead all San Antonio skaters this season with a career-high rating of plus-19, which also tied him for 14th in the AHL in that category.

Yonkman, an 11-year veteran, recorded two goals and 11 as- sists in 66 games this season. The Rampage captain has re- corded 16 goals and 56 assists in 530 career AHL games.
