Dubuque Fighting Saints News Release

DUBUQUE, Iowa - The stage is nearly set for the Clark Cup Playoffs, but one more game remains before the Fighting Saints open the postseason on Monday. Dubuque will host the Muskegon Lumberjacks tonight at 7:05, playing their final game of the regular season. The Fighting Saints will look to carry some positive momentum into the playoffs with a win tonight after having their five-game winning streak snapped last night with a 4-2 loss at home to the Chicago Steel.

Tonight's game will be the last of the season for the Lumberjacks, who will not qualify for the playoffs. Muskegon has lost six straight - a streak that started with a loss at the Mystique Community Ice Center and includes another defeat at the hands of the Fighting Saints. The Lumberjacks are last in the USHL in goals allowed per game, and are second to last in the league in goals scored, as they look forward to next season and a chance to return to the playoffs.

The Fighting Saints will open the playoffs on Monday at home against Team USA. The two teams will also play on Tuesday, and Wednesday, if necessary. If the Fighting Saints advance to the Eastern Conference Semifinals, they will open that series in Indiana against the Ice on Friday.

The Fighting Saints will take time to salute its fans tonight as it is the night of the final game of the regular season. Fan Appreciation Night presented by American Trust will be highlighted by the Grand Prize Drawing in the bank's 'Winning Edge' contest, the Fighting Saints year-end jersey auction, and prizes for fans throughout the game.

Pregame coverage for tonight's game starts at 6:40 on Dubuque's Super Hits 106 and SuperHits106.com. Streaming video coverage is available at FastHockey.com.
