Fighting Saints Playoff Path Is Set

DUBUQUE, Iowa - After 58 regular season games, the Fighting Saints path to repeat as Clark Cup Champions has finally attained clarity. When the Indiana Ice defeated Team USA on Tuesday night, the Ice locked up the #2 Seed in the Eastern Conference, guaranteeing the Fighting Saints the third slot in the East. With Team USA ensured of the #6 Seed, the Fighting Saints will host Team USA in a best-of-three series in the First Round of the Clark Cup Playoffs, at home on Monday, April 16, Tuesday, April 17, and Wednesday, April 18 (if necessary). All First Round games will start at 7:05 p.m.
Should the Fighting Saints advance out of the First Round of the playoffs, they will face the Indiana Ice in the second round, the Conference Semifinals. The best-of-five Conference Semifinals will commence in Indianapolis on Friday, April 20, and Saturday, April 21. Potential Conference Semifinals home games would be played in Dubuque on Wednesday, April 25 at 7:05 p.m., and Friday, April 27 at 7:35 p.m. (if necessary).
Through the support of Fighting Saints presenting sponsor American Trust, individual tickets for the First Round of the playoffs are buy-one-get-one-free and are on sale now. Tickets are also on sale for potential Conference Semifinals home dates. For fans who want to ensure themselves a seat for every second of the action at the Mystique Community Ice Center this season, the Fighting Saints are offering a Pay-As-We-Play option. In addition to securing the same seat for each of the Fighting Saints home playoff games, fans will have no need to worry about being refunded for unplayed games, as credit cards will only be charged in the event that a game is played.
Team USA, the Fighting Saints First Round opponent, competes in the USHL as a combined program of two teams. The United States National Team Development Program consists of both an under-17 team and an under-18 team, each of which plays a portion of Team USA's 60 regular season games. In the Clark Cup Playoffs, Team USA is represented exclusively by the U17 team.
The Fighting Saints will close out the regular season with two games at home this weekend. Dubuque will host Chicago on Friday and Muskegon on Saturday, with both games starting at 7:05 p.m. The Fighting Saints will Tickets for the games are available by phone at (563) 583-6880 and in person at the Mystique Community Ice Center from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., and on game night up until the start of the second period.
