Sharks Loan All-Star Goaltender to Peoria

Peoria Rivermen General Manager Kevin McDonald announced Sunday that the club has acquired goaltender Alex Stalock on loan from the San Jose Sharks. A 2010 AHL all-star, Stalock has spent his entire AHL career has been spent with Worcester up to this point.

Stalock (STAY-lock), 24, was Worcester's team MVP in 2009-10, when he set an AHL rookie record with 39 wins. He has compiled a 59-37-6 all-time record in the AHL, and earned the win in his only NHL appearance with San Jose.

Returning from a year-long injury absence, Stalock posted a 1-1-0 record with a 2.51 GAA and a .909 save percentage in two games with Worcester this season. He has also gone 5-1-0 with the ECHL Stockton Thunder and posted a 2.83 GAA and .914 save percentage.

Stalock suffered a leg laceration on Feb. 4, 2011 after being stepped on by a skate behind his left knee.
