Edmonton Recalls Thunder Center Ryan Martindale to Oklahoma City

STOCKTON, Calif. - The Stockton Thunder, proud ECHL affiliate of the Edmonton Oilers and San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League, announced Edmonton has recalled rookie center Ryan Martindale from the Thunder to the Oklahoma City Barons of the American Hockey League.

Martindale, 20, should be available for the Barons' next game on Wednesday for a 5:00 p.m. PT faceoff against the Texas Stars.

The 6-foot-3 and 207 pound forward has scored 15 points (6g-9a) and collected ten penalty minutes in 34 games this season. He has notched three multi point games and a season high five game scoring streak from Dec. 16-30.

Martindale was selected by Edmonton in the third round (61st overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft and suited up in two preseason games for the Oilers this season.

He has appeared in two AHL games with Oklahoma City this season and posted two penalty minutes.
