Dubuque Fighting Saints News Release

DUBUQUE, Iowa - A weekend rivalry series opens tonight for the Fighting Saints in Cedar Rapids. The RoughRiders will host the Fighting Saints as the two teams play each other for the sixth time this season. The Fighting Saints have captured two points in four of the five meetings, only losing in Cedar Rapids 7-2 last month. The Fighting Saints have won two games in a row, defeating Indiana in convincing fashion 6-1 on Saturday, and grinding out a 2-0 win over Des Moines on Wednesday night. With a win this evening, Dubuque will have won three consecutive games for the first time since late November.

The RoughRiders sit in sixth place in the Eastern Conference, but their margin of error to ensure a playoff spot is quite comfortable. They have, however, lost three of their last four games, with one of the losses coming in overtime. *Nick Saracino *has provided much of the offensive spark for the RoughRiders, having posted 37 points this season.

The same two teams will take to the ice tomorrow night at 7:05 in Dubuque, playing each other at the Mystique Community Ice Center for the final time this regular season. The Fighting Saints will host the Muskegon Lumberjacks next Friday night, and travel to Waterloo to play the Black Hawks on Saturday.

Pregame coverage for tonight's game starts at 6:45 on Dubuque's Super Hits 106 and SuperHits106.com. Streaming video coverage is available at FastHockey.com.
