
D.C. United Academy Opens Registration for Spring Training Program

Washington, D.C. (February 8, 2012) - The D.C. United Academy today announced that registration is open for it's spring training program. The training program begins on Tuesday, March 27 and is available for players from the U-9 to U-13 age groups. Full details of the program are listed below.

Program overview
D.C. United is committed to player development. In an effort to prepare players for the professional game, D.C. United is seeking the top talent in Washington, D.C., Virginia and Maryland to be trained for D.C. United's Academy.
The 2012 Training Program will be offered three times (Spring, Summer and Fall) throughout the calendar year, with the first session to start on Tuesday, March 27th.
Training
D.C. United's Training Program focuses on individual player development and will be used as an identification opportunity for D.C. United's Academy teams. This elite training program will focus on the individual technique and tactical understanding of the game in a competitive environment.
Each training session will be a single progression within a full, eight-week program, in which players will train like D.C. United's Academy and First Team players.
Session I
Location: NW Washington DC - Wilson High School
3950 Chesapeake St NW, Washington, DC 20008
(Right off the Tenleytown Metro)
Dates: Tuesdays: March 27, April 3, 10, 17, 24, 30 May 7, 15.
Times:
U-9 - U-11 (2001, 2002 & 2003): 7:00-8:30pm
U-12/U-13 (1999, 2000): 7:00-8:30pm
Tuition: $360 for eight, ninety-minute sessions
Cap: 32 players per group
Program details: Each player will receive a D.C. United training kit.
Training sessions will be led by D.C. United's Pre-Academy and Academy coaching staff.
Each player will receive a ticket voucher to a D.C. United home game.
