Dubuque Fighting Saints News Release

DUBUQUE, Iowa - When they face off against the Youngstown Phantoms tonight at 7:05 in Dubuque, the Fighting Saints have an opportunity to string three wins together for only the third time this season. Despite sitting just two points out of second place in the Eastern Conference, the Fighting Saints have not won three consecutive games since November 19-25. The only other Dubuque winning streak that stretched over three or more games was a seven-game streak (tied for the second longest in the league this season) from October 14 to November 4.

The Phantoms, who have played one more game than the Fighting Saints, sit just two points behind Dubuque in the Eastern Conference standings. The Phantoms have enjoyed a breakthrough season under first-year Head Coach Anthony Noreen, but the team is 3-5-1 over their last nine games. Mike Ambrosia has ignited his numbers in the scoring department, scoring eleven goals and leading the league with thirty assists for a total of forty-one points.

Another important conference game awaits the Fighting Saints tomorrow night. The Indiana Ice, who are currently in second place in the Eastern Conference, will travel to Dubuque for a 7:05 puck drop.

Mascot Mania will descend upon the Mystique Community Ice Center tonight, with mascots from area businesses and schools involved in the game presentation throughout the evening. The mascots will face off for a short hockey game during the first intermission.

Pregame coverage for tonight's game begins at 6:40 on Dubuque's Super Hits 106 and SuperHits106.com. Online video streaming is available at FastHockey.com.
