San Antonio Rampage News Release
SAN ANTONIO (February 1, 2012) - The San Antonio Rampage are expecting a sell-out crowd (15,638) this Friday for their second annual Pink in the Rink Night, presented by Cancer Therapy & Research Center. Only 500 tickets remain, however if you can't make it out to the AT&T Center, the game will be televised on FOX Sports Southwest.
The Rampage will skate on pink ice this Friday as they take on the Lake Erie Monsters at 7 p.m. at the AT&T Center. Last season, the team set a franchise attendance record as 14,339 fans watched the Rampage claim a 4-1 victory over the Chicago Wolves on pink ice for the first time in AT&T Center history.
The team will wear pink-themed jerseys that will be auctioned off to the public immediately following the game. A portion of the proceeds from the auction and ticket sales will benefit the San Antonio Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure(r). The Rampage raised $25,000 from their first Pink in the Rink event last season to benefit Komen San Antonio.
The Rampage have added two games to their television broadcast schedule to be aired on FOX Sports Southwest, including Friday's Pink in the Rink game. In addition, the Rampage will broadcast their game on March 20 vs. Grand Rapids as Rampage play-by-play broadcaster Dan Weiss and Spurs television host and in-game reporter Andrew Monaco will call the action.
