Bakersfield Condors News Release
CONDORSTOWN, Calif. - The Bakersfield Condors announced today that the team has acquired D Ryan Annesley and F Evan Trupp from the Cincinnati Cyclones in exchange for C Mathew Sisca and future considerations. Annesley is expected to join the team Friday, while Trupp is currently en route to Bakersfield.
"We had both of these guys on our radar over the summer and through affiliations in Cincinnati they weren't given much of an opportunity," said Condors Head Coach Matt O'Dette. "What we got is two good players and although Sisca was good for us, sometimes you have to give up something to get something."
A rookie from Ajax, ON, Annesley played 20 games with the Cyclones recording one goal and six assists for seven points. Prior to turning pro, the 5'10", 185 lbs. defenseman played four seasons at Niagara University, serving as a captain his senior season. His best season was his senior campaign registering four goals and 23 assists for 27 points in 35 games played.
A former University of North Dakota standout, Trupp had twogoals and 10 assists for 12 points in 20 games played with Cincinnati to begin his rookie season. While at North Dakota, Trupp played 157 games over four seasons, tallying 40 goals and 68 assists for 108 points. His best season was in 2010-11 as a senior when he recorded 17 goals and 24 assists for 41 points in 44 games played. He made a Frozen Four appearance with the Fighting Sioux as a freshman in 2007-08.
Sisca leaves for Cincinnati as the Condors second-leading scorer. He tallied eight goals and 19 assists for 27 points in 34 games played to begin his rookie season.
