Norfolk Assigns Defenseman Quick to Everblades

ESTERO, FL -- Florida Everblades President and General Manager Craig Brush along with Head Coach Greg Poss announced Thursday that defenseman Kevin Quick has been assigned to the Everblades by the Norfolk Admirals of the American Hockey League.
Quick, joins the Everblades after posting two assists in 11 games played with the Admirals this season. The 6-foot, 190-pound defenseman has totaled 34 career points (1g, 33a) in 170 games played with Norfolk from 2007-2012, including setting career highs last season in assists and points recording 15 assists.
The Buffalo, New York native logged one assist in six games played with the Tampa Bay Lighting (NHL) during the 2008-09 season. Quick was selected by Tampa Bay in the third round of the 2006 NHL entry draft.
Quick has appeared in 18 career ECHL regular season games, all with the Augusta Lynx during the 2008-09 season. He posted two goals and six points with ten penalty minutes in those games. He also appeared in nine Kelly Cup Playoff games with the Elmira Jackals in 2009, posting one assist.
The Everblades play host to the Chicago Express on Friday at Germain Arena beginning at 7:30 p.m. The Friday the 13th game features a Halloween in January promotion called Sweets in the Suites. Children who dress in their Halloween costumes may Trick or Treat in the luxury suites at the arena during the first intermission. Friday is also Scout Night. The two teams will also meet again on Saturday, at 7:00 p.m.
