Fighting Saints Return to Home Ice Tonight Against Green Bay

DUBUQUE, Iowa - The Fighting Saints will not be afforded the opportunity to ease back into their USHL schedule when they return to the ice from the Christmas break tonight. The league's top team, the Green Bay Gamblers, will visit the Mystique Community Ice Center at 7:05. The Fighting Saints will try to maintain their momentum from prior to the break - Dubuque scored a combined ten goals in wins over Lincoln and Waterloo in the final weekend before the break.

The Gamblers have dominated the USHL throughout the first half of the regular season. Over their last fifteen games, Green Bay has earned twenty-seven of a possible thirty points. The Gamblers rank first in the USHL in both goals scored (4.12 per game) and goals allowed (2.28 per game). They have experienced most of their success on the road, where they have compiled a 13-1-0 record, compared to a 7-3-0 mark at the Resch Center.

The Fighting Saints will continue their stretch of three home games in four days on Friday and Saturday against Sioux Falls and Fargo. Both games will start at 6:05 p.m. The Fighting Saints homestand of six games will close on Friday, January 6, when the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders travel to the Key City.
