Tulsa 66ers Trade for Nkem Ojougboh

TULSA, Okla., Dec. 5, 2011 - The Tulsa 66ers, proud affiliate of the Oklahoma City Thunder, announced today that they have acquired Nkem Ojougboh from the Los Angeles D-Fenders in exchange for a 2012 third round draft pick.

Ojougboh (6-9, 225) played last season for the NBA D-League's Utah Flash where he averaged 5.1 points, 4.1 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 46 games. In three playoff games with the Flash, he averaged 12 points, 12.3 rebounds, 2.3 blocks and 1.7 assists.

Collegiately, the Nigerian native averaged 8.4 points and 5.5 rebounds over four seasons playing for Northeastern University (2007-10) and Texas-San Antonio (2005-06). Ojougboh averaged 9.2 points, 7.2 rebounds, 2.3 blocks and 1.1 assists in his senior season at Northeastern.

The 66ers (4-1) are coming off of a 109-96 home opening victory over the Austin Toros last Saturday night inside the Tulsa Convention Center.

Ojougboh will wear jersey No. 50 when the 66ers return to action this Wednesday, Dec. 7, against the Toros in Austin at 7:30 p.m. CT.
