
Energy Announce Signing of Stanley Robinson

DES MOINES, IA, October 31, 2011 - The Iowa Energy have announced that forward Stanley Robinson has signed with the team for the 2011-12 season. Robinson, a 6'8" forward, averaged 9.2 points and 4.2 rebounds per contest in 22 regular season games with the Energy last season. He added 7.8 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.2 blocked shots per game during the team's playoff run.
"Stanley was a big part of our championship season and we are glad to have him back," said Energy General Manager Chris Makris. He is a very talented player who we feel can be a part of winning another title for the Energy"
Robinson, a Birmingham, Alabama native, was a 2010 Draft Pick of the Orlando Magic (2nd round, 59th pick overall) and saw time in five preseason games prior to being released. He spent time with the Rio Grande Valley Vipers (3 games, 9.7 points and 2.7 points per contest) before being traded to Iowa in exchange for forward Connor Atchley.
The Energy will hold their Annual D-League Draft Party this Thursday, November 3rd at 6pm at Court Avenue Brewing Co. (309 Court Avenue). The Energy staff will be selecting players live at the party via teleconference with the NBA.
The Energy will kick off their home season on Saturday, December 3rd when the Erie BayHawks come to town. The night will feature a Championship Celebration, along with Team ACRODUNK at halftime.
