Energy's Ehambe and Team USA Open Pan Am Game Play Tonight

DES MOINES, IA, October 26, 2011 - Iowa Energy star Moses Ehambe will join the USA Basketball team against the Dominican Republic in the preliminary round of the Pan American Games on tonight, in Guadalajara, Mexico. Tipoff will be at 5:30 PM CST and will be broadcast on ESPN Deportes.

Ehambe, who helped lead the Energy to its first D-League title during the 2010-11 season, was one of 12 players selected to the U.S. squad released on Oct. 19.

Joining the Energy midway through the 2010-11 season from the Austin Toros, Ehambe made an immediate impact averaging 13.9 points per game including 16 in his Iowa debut on Mar. 6. During the D-League Finals, the former Oral Roberts star led Iowa in points per game averaging 24.7 including 33 in game two of the three game series against Rio Grande Valley.

In addition to the Dominican Republic, the U.S. men will compete against Brazil and Uruguay in Group B.

The U.S. men have won eight gold medals compiling an overall record of 84-13 since the Pan American Games began in 1951.
