
Reno Bighorns to Host Final D-League Open Tryout in Reno

RENO, Nev.- The Reno Bighorns, NBA D-League affiliate of the Sacramento Kings, Memphis Grizzlies and Atlanta Hawks, will host open tryouts in Reno for the 2011-2012 Reno Bighorns team. Tryouts will take place on Saturday, October 29 at the South Reno Athletic Club located at 9393 Gateway Drive in Reno. Registration will begin at 10 a.m. and the tryouts will begin at 11 a.m.
This will be the final open tryout for the D-League's upcoming 2011-2012 season.
Open tryouts give players a chance to display their talents to the Bighorns coaching staff, led by head coach Paul Mokeski, with a chance of earning a spot in the Bighorns training camp in November.
"It is very exciting to get a chance to see the local talent in these different areas," said Mokeski. "The D-League has a history of giving players a chance to play professional basketball and I am excited to be a part of the process."
Participants are encouraged to register for the tryouts in advance due to the limited number of spots available. In order to pre-register participants can fill out the Player Release and Eligibility Form, which can be downloaded at RenoBighorns.com.
The tryout registration forms, along with the $150 registration fee, can be mailed to the Reno Bighorns at 9393 Gateway Dr., Suite BH, Reno, NV 89512.
