Heatherington and Zinkan Shortlisted for World Under-17 Hockey Challenge

Swift Current, SK - Hockey Alberta announced that Bronco prospects, Dillon Heatherington and Bobby Zinkan have been shortlisted for further evaluation in preparation to represent Team Pacific at the 2012 World Under-17 Hockey Challenge which will run from December 29 - January 4th in Windsor, Ontario.

Heatherington was selected 11th overall by the Broncos in the 2010 WHL Bantam Draft. The 6',

154 pound defenceman from Calgary, AB played 31 games with the Calgary Flames of the Alberta Midget Hockey League (AMHL) last season where he recorded 11 assists and 44 PIM.

Zinkan was selected by the Broncos in the fourth round, 81st overall in the 2010 WHL Bantam

Draft. The 5'9", 154 pound blueliner tallied one goal and 12 assists in 32 games played last season with the Calgary Northstars of the AMHL.

The 32 players shortlisted were selected from a group of 46 athletes that competed at Team Alberta's U17 Provincial Camp in July. The shortlisted players will now be scouted with their club teams until Team Alberta names their 11 athletes to the Team Pacific roster in November.
