
Boise Hawks Host Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Night

BOISE, ID-The Boise Hawks will host a Pancreatic Cancer awareness night on Saturday, August 6 2011. It is estimated that this year over 43,000 Americans will be diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer.
You can help raise awareness, and support for the fight against this disease! Watch the Boise Hawks take on the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes, game time is at 7:15p. Tickets are $35 and include an all-you-can-eat picnic with unlimited beer and soda from 6:15p-7:15p, a 3B reserved seat, and autographs with select Boise Hawks players. Proceeds benefit the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network- "Advance Research. Support Patients. Create Hope."

The Hawks began Northwest League play as an independent club from 1987-89. The team was affiliated with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim from 1990-2000 and have been with the Chicago Cubs since 2001. The club has won 6 NWL Championships, the most recent banner coming in 2004.
