CHICAGO - Chicago Sky Head Coach and General Manager Pokey Chatman announced today that guard/forward Angie Bjorklund has been waived from the team.
Bjorklund, a 6-0 standout from the University of Tennessee, was selected 17th overall in the 2011 WNBA Draft. She played in seven games for the Sky this season averaging 1.1 points in 6.1 minutes of play.
The Sky, 8-9 at the midway point of its summer schedule, plays its next regular season game on Tuesday, July 26 at Allstate Arena versus the Connecticut Sun. The Sky is 2-1 versus the Sun this season.
