JUPITER, Fla. - Roger Dean Stadium, the Town of Jupiter, the Town of Juno Beach and Abacoa will host Northern Palm Beach County's biggest Independence Day Weekend celebration July 2, 3 and 4 as part of Mega Bash III, which includes three nights of baseball games, two live concerts and two spectacular fireworks shows.

"We are extremely excited to once again be partnering with the Town of Jupiter, the Town of Juno Beach and Abacoa for Mega Bash III," said Roger Dean Stadium General Manager Mike Bauer. "It will be a great way for the community to come together and enjoy a weekend full of fun aimed toward the whole family."

The festivities begin Saturday, July 2, with the most fun-filled Slammin' Saturdays event of the season as the Jupiter Hammerheads, Class-A Advanced affiliate of the Florida Marlins, host the Palm Beach Cardinals, Class-A Advanced affiliate of the St. Louis Cardinals, in a game beginning at 6:35 p.m. Immediately following the game fans will experience a spectacular fireworks display, shot directly from behind Roger Dean Stadium, before being entertained by a live performance from AC/DC tribute band Highway to Hell.

Highway to Hell has been rated as Florida's premier AC/DC tribute band and is the only such group to have shared the stage with original band members Brian Johnson and Cliff Williams. The group, based out of Tampa, Fla., has performed internationally and throughout the United States and features lasers, smoke, hells bells, cannon effects and more in its electric show.

Sunday, July 3, kicks off with game two between the Cardinals and Hammerheads at 5:05 p.m. Following the game and after the Sunday tradition of "Kids Run the Bases," Bon Jovi tribute band Livin' On a Prayer will perform live in the concourse for no extra charge to those in attendance. Livin' On a Prayer is a South Florida-based tribute band known for authentic sound and appearance mimicking that of the legendary rockers.

Monday night, the 4th of July, begins with a 6:35 p.m. game between the Bradenton Marauders and homestanding Palm Beach Cardinals and leads into the Town of Jupiter and Town of Juno Beach's official fireworks show. The spectacular display concludes a fun-filled day for Abacoa which includes waterslides, games and contests, live music and more right from the Town Center located at the intersection of University Blvd. and Main St.

"We are thrilled to once again be hosting the Town of Jupiter and Town of Juno Beach's official fireworks show," said Bauer, "continuing a tradition that began when the stadium first opened in 1998. The stadium, Jupiter, Juno Beach and Abacoa have built a strong and productive relationship, and we hope to continue that into the future."

The Bounce U Mega Kid's Area will be set up for all three days and includes numerous inflatable games, slides, and more fun activities for children to enjoy. There will also be a Mega sports memorabilia silent auction, sponsored by BonanzaSports.net, running through all three days located in the stadium concourse area.
