
FSL Names Pitcher and Player of the Week

The Player and Pitcher of the Week for the period June 20 - June 26, 2011 was named today by the Florida State League.
Jonathan Singleton, Outfielder for the Clearwater Threshers, was the Player of the week. In seven games he had 13 hits in 25 plate appearances for a .520 batting average. His hits included three homeruns and three doubles. He drove in eight runs and scored 6 times. His OBP was .613 and his slugging percentage was 1.000. Jonathan is in his third year of professional baseball and he resides in Lakewood, CA.
The Pitcher of the Week was Clearwater Threshers Right-hander Trevor May. He started one game and had a 0.00 ERA. In seven innings pitched he allowed one hit, gave up two walks, and struck out 14 batters. Trevor is in his fourth year of professional baseball and resides in Kelso, WA.
