Salem Red Sox Host Pink in the Park Weekend May 6-8

The Salem Red Sox, Advanced Class-A Affiliate of the Boston Red Sox, will be hosting their annual Pink in the Park Weekend Friday, May 6 through Sunday, May 8 in collaboration with Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

The Salem Red Sox will wear pink jerseys during Friday's and Saturday's games and the bases at LewisGale Field will bear pink ribbons to heighten breast cancer awareness.

Pink in the Park, spanning three games, will include the pink jersey auction, a pink t-shirt giveaway, Baseball 101 for Women and Mother's Day special events.

When:

Friday, May 6 - Sunday, May 8

Friday: Auction for Komen, Field of Dreams with Komen volunteers and workers (7:05 game)

Saturday: Baseball 101 for Women (9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.), Field of Dreams with breast cancer survivors (6:05 game), Pink Jersey silent auction during game

Sunday: Honorary Manager for Mother's Day, Bombs for moms, messages to moms on videoboard

Salem Memorial Ballpark
