Chiefs to Face Chilliwack in 1st Round

The Spokane Chiefs, the number three seed in the Western Conference, will face the Chilliwack Bruins in the first round of the WHL Playoffs. Chilliwack is the number six seed. Spokane will have home ice advantage but begin the series on the road with games one and two in Chilliwack on Friday, March 25th and Saturday, March 26th. Games three, four and, if necessary, five will be played in the Spokane Arena on Wednesday, March 30th, Thursday, March 31st and Saturday, April 2nd.

The Chiefs finished the regular season with a 48-18-4-2 record and 102 points. Spokane finished the season 3-1-0-0 versus Chilliwack. Spokane won the last three match-ups including a 2-1 shootout victory on March 16th when the Chiefs put a franchise record 78 shots on net. Chilliwack had 74 points with a 33-31-4-4 mark.
