Montreal Reassigns Hunter Bishop to Wheeling

MONTREAL, QC - The Montreal Canadiens announced today that forward Hunter Bishop has been reassigned to the Wheeling Nailers of the East Coast Hockey League.

Bishop, 23, played in nine regular season games with the Bulldogs last year, earning five points (two goals, three assists). In 12 post-season games with Hamilton, the native of Fairbanks, Alaska recorded one assist and six penalty minutes. Prior to joining the 'Dogs the 6-foot, 185-pound forward played two seasons at Ohio State University from 2008-2010 recording 58 points (29 goals, 29 assists) in 75 games. Bishop was signed as a free agent by the Montreal Canadiens on March 19, 2010.

Hamilton hosts the Manitoba Moose in the second game of their two-game back-to-back series tonight at 7:00 p.m. at Copps Coliseum. The 'Dogs will then travel to Montreal to host the Binghamton Senators at Bell Centre on Friday, November 5th at 7:30 p.m. All regular season Hamilton Bulldogs broadcasts on AM 820 CHAM will begin with a pre-game show 30 minutes prior to the scheduled start time. All pre-game shows during 'Dogs home games will be broadcast live from the main concourse at Copps Coliseum.
