Falcons Sign Michael Ryan to PTO Contract

Springfield, MA - The Springfield Falcons, proud members of the American Hockey League, announced today forward Michael Ryan has signed a Professional Tryout Agreement with the Falcons. Ryan is expected to join the team on Monday as they practice at the MassMutual Center starting at 10:30 am.
The 6-foot-1, 190-pound native of Boston, MA led the AHL's Albany River Rats in goals during the 2008-09 season when he scored 25 markers in just 40 games that year. Ryan also led the Rochester Americans in goals during the 2006-07 campaign when he recorded 28 goals.
Ryan enters this season with 253 games of American Hockey League experience collecting 81 goals and 83 assists for 164 points in that span. He has also played in 83 career National Hockey League games totaling seven goals and eight assists for 15 points. Ryan was originally drafted by the Dallas Stars in the second round (32nd overall) in the 1999 NHL Entry Draft.
