
Doherty Named Frontenacs Captain

The Kingston Frontenacs are proud to announce that fourth year defenseman Taylor Doherty has been named Captain of the 2010-11by the Franchise.
"This is a great opportunity for him," said Head Coach Doug Gilmour. "He's been a quality player and leader for us and this is his recognition. He's worked hard to achieve this and congratulations to him."
Doherty inherits the mantle of captain from the departed Brian Lashoff who wore the "C" for just over a season and a half with the Club.
Doherty, a second round selection of the San Jose Sharks in 2009, will be one the ice this Friday as the Frontenacs meet the Belleville Bulls at 7:30 p.m.
