
Petes Acquire Overage Defenceman from Knights

Peterborough Petes General Manager David Reid announced this morning that the team has acquired overage import defenceman Kalle Ekelund from the London Knights in exchange for London's 4th round draft pick in the 2011 OHL Priority Selection.
In his only season in the Ontario Hockey League the native of Nybro Sweden recorded 5 goals and 25 points in 68 games with the Knights. The 6'3" 202lbs right defenceman added another 3 goals and 7 points in 12 playoff games.
Earlier this week the Petes re-assigned defenceman Cole Murduff to the Wellington Dukes of the OJHL.
