Tickets to Thursday's Curve Game Help a Great Cause

August 3, 2010 - Eastern League (EL1)
Altoona Curve News Release

Curve, PA - When the Altoona Curve takes on the Akron Aeros (AA - Cleveland Indians) in a pivotal E.L. Western Division showdown at 7:00 p.m., fans will not only have the opportunity to take home three different giveaway items, but will also have the chance to help a great cause.

As part of Peoples Natural Gas Night, PNG will donate one dollar for every game ticket purchased to the Dollar Energy Fund (DEF) to help low-income Peoples customers who are having difficulty paying their energy bills.

The funds will be managed through DEF, which has been helping households in Western Pennsylvania with utility assistance since 1983. The Dollar Energy Fund will have a table at the ballpark where baseball fans will be encouraged to donate to the fund.

For more information about the Dollar Energy Fund, visit www.dollarenergy.org.

The first 2,000 fans of all ages through the gates will take home a Brad Lincoln Curve, PA photo baseball courtesy of PNG. Peoples Natural Gas will also provide fans with a complementary, reusable water bottle to fans as they exit the game starting in the 7th inning. Great seats for Thursday's game are still available and can be obtained by calling 877-99-CURVE, online at AltoonaCurve.com or in person at the Blair County Ballpark ticket windows.
