Pawtucket Red Sox News Release

Third baseman Mike Lowell tied the PawSox team record with three home runs in a single game on Monday night, leading Pawtucket to a 10-6 victory in Toledo. Lowell had a two run shot in the first, a solo blast in the third and another 2 run job in the eighth. In his brief 4 game rehab assignment (hip), Lowell is hitting .471 with three doubles and three homers. The last two PawSox hitters to hit 3 home runs in a game were Jonathan Van Every and Brandon Moss in 2008. Lowell hit three home runs in a Major League game in 2004 for the Florida Marlins. The Sox set a season high with 5 home runs, overall. Mark Wagner and Ryan Kalish also left the yard. Both Kalish and Wagner doubled, as well.

Ramon Ramirez (2-2) earned the win by working 5 innings, allowing just 2 runs, striking out 5. Dustin Richardson, Fernando Cabrera and Robert Manuel finished off the Mud Hens. The victory snapped a 4 game losing skid for Pawtucket.

The series continues in Toledo on Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. Robert Coello (2-4, 4.46) faces lefty Andrew Oliver (0-0, 0.00).
