
Whitecaps FC Release Midfielder Justin Moose

VANCOUVER, BC - Vancouver Whitecaps FC announced today that the club have released midfielder Justin Moose.
"Justin has been a consummate professional during his two-and-a-half seasons with the club," said Whitecaps FC president Bob Lenarduzzi. "We thank him for his fine contribution, both on the pitch and in the community, with Whitecaps FC."
Moose, 26, joined the Whitecaps on April 15, 2008, after spending two seasons with Major League Soccer club D.C. United. In 2010, the native of Statesville, North Carolina, started eight of his 19 appearances for 716 minutes of action, recording one assist during that time. In two-and-a-half seasons with Whitecaps FC, Moose started 41 of his 82 total appearances for 3,797 minutes of action, scoring two goals and adding seven assists for 11 points in the process.
North American Soccer League (NASL) Conference leading Vancouver Whitecaps FC (7W-3L-8D) return to Swangard Stadium this Sunday, July 25, to battle USL Conference club NSC Minnesota Stars (7W-9L-4D). Sunday's match is part of Swangard doubleheader, with Whitecaps FC Residency concluding their 2010 United Soccer Leagues (USL) Premier Development League (PDL) campaign when they host local rivals Victoria Highlanders FC in the first match at 4 p.m. PT. Tickets for Sunday's tilt start at $20, plus applicable service charges, and are available at all Ticketmaster Ticket Centres, online at ticketmaster.ca, and by phone at 604.280.4400.
