Pyle to Conduct On-Ice Sessions at Thrashers Prospect Camp

The Atlanta Thrashers will hold their annual Prospect Development Camp at the team's practice facility, the Duluth IceForum, from Thurs., July 8 to Tues., July 13. The camp, which will consist of 29 prospects, is designed to assist young players in their development both on and off the ice. There will be three four-on-four scrimmages throughout the week, including on Sat., July 10, Sun., July 11, and Tues., July 13, with each scrimmage beginning at 4 p.m. All on-ice activity throughout the camp is free and open to the public.

Among the players scheduled to attend are Alex Burmistrov (2010, 1st Rd., 8th Over.), Patrice Cormier (2008, 2nd Rd., 54th Over. by New Jersey), Carl Klingberg (2009, 2nd Rd., 34th Over.), Daultan Leveille (2008, 1st Rd., 29th Over.) and Paul Postma (2007, 7th Rd., 205th Over.)

Thrashers Director of Amateur Scouting and Player Development Dan Marr, along with Manager of Player Development and Hockey Administration Ryan Bowness will oversee the camp. Off-ice training sessions will be conducted by Thrashers Strength and Conditioning Coach Barry Brennan. Chicago Wolves Assistant Coach Ron Wilson and Gwinnett Gladiators Head Coach Jeff Pyle will run all on-ice sessions, with Wolves Skills Coach Kenny McCudden conducting all power skating sessions.
