Batavia Muckdogs - St. Louis Cardinals (2-3) @ State College Spikes - Pittsburgh Pirates (2-3)

Game #6 / Home Game #4 RHP Zack Von Rosenberg (0-1, 9.00) vs. RHP Chris Corrigan (0-0, 13.50)

-MUCKDOGS FINISH OFF RETURN TO CENTRAL PA: The State College Spikes look for the sweep tonight as they complete their three-game series with the Batavia Muckdogs tonight. The Muckdogs are making their first trip to State College as a Cardinals affiliate without former Spikes manager Mark DeJohn, who now serves as Senior Roving Field Instructor in the St. Louis organization. Dann Bilardello now has the reins as Batavia's manager after working as the Cardinals' minor league catching coordinator during the past three seasons.

-LAST GAME: Once again, the Spikes came from behind to beat the Muckdogs, 5-4, at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. Kelson Brown delivered the RBI single that plated the eventual game-winning run in the bottom of the eighth inning. Brown also added a triple and a run scored. Chase Lyles and Matt Skirving each had a pair of hits as well, with Skirving knocking in two runs. Eliecer Navarro earned the win after entering in the seventh and retiring the first eight batters he faced, alowing just one hit in total. Audry Perez collected three hits for Batavia.

-VON ROSENBERG MAKES HOME DEBUT : 19-year-old Zack Von Rosenberg gets the ball for his second start with the Spikes tonight. Von Rosenberg will be making his first appearance at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, after starting Opening Night for State College at Historic Bowman Field in Williamsport. Von Rosenberg allowed four runs on seven hits over four innings in his first outing, and was tagged with the loss.

-BATAVIA SENDS CORRIGAN TO THE HILL: The Muckdogs will counter Von Rosenberg with righty Chris Corrigan. Corrigan allowed five runs on six hits over 3.1 innings in his first appearances of the season, which took place on Opening Night in Auburn. The Humble, TX native was a 30th round draft pick of the Cardinals last year, and made 16 appearances for the Muckdogs in 2009 (2-2, 3.80 ERA). Corrigan started this season with the Cardinals' Single-A affiliate in Quad Cities, where he allowed an 8.22 ERA in eight relief appearances.
