Tonight, Quad Cities baseball fans can come enjoy high-level college baseball right in their backyard! That's right, for the first time this century, you can witness the University of Iowa Hawkeyes and St. Ambrose Fighting Bees battle it out on the field at Modern Woodmen Park! The River Bandits are honored to have these two prestigious programs do battle on the banks of the Mississippi. You can be a part of this rare matchup between the Big 10's Hawkeyes and your local NAIA Fighting Bees! Click here to lock-in your seats for the game!
Modern Woodmen Park, the home of the St. Ambrose Fighting Bees, will also serve as the host of this Big 10 - Midwest Collegiate Conference matchup tonight at 6:30 p.m. while the River Bandits are on the road. The Hawkeyes got the best of the meeting with a 12-2 win over the Fighting Bees when the two teams dueled in over a decade ago. Over their last four meetings the two teams have split at two wins a piece.
The Hawkeyes were originally slated to take on the Leathernecks of Western Illinois University, however due to a tragic loss of one of their players, the team will be unable to partake in this special event.
