Kinston Has First Rainout in Almost Two Years
Published on May 17, 2010 under Carolina League (CarL1)
Kinston Indians News Release
After nearly two years and 89 games, the Kinston Indians were rained out at Historic Grainger Stadium Monday night in Kinston. The rainout was the first in Kinston since August 13th, 2008. This is only the second time since May of 2008 that a home Kinston Indians game has buckled to the fury of Mother Nature. In 2009, the K-Tribe was the first Carolina League team to not have any rainouts in a single season in more than ten years.
Kinston will play a historic double header against the Salem Red Sox, Tuesday starting at 5pm. The two, seven inning games will have Alex White starting game one for Kinston. Game two will begin thirty minutes after the conclusion of game two. It is a two dollar Tuesday featuring two dollar tickets, beers, sodas and burgers!
