Florida Everblades News Release
The Florida Everblades beat the South Carolina Stingrays 2-1 on Sunday to improve their overall record to 6-4-1 versus the ECHL defending Kelly Cup Champs this season. The Everblades also won 2-1 in overtime on Saturday night, while dropping a decision on Friday night in North Charleston Coliseum 3-1. Of the 11 meetings this season, eight contests have been decided by one goal.
The two clubs finish off the 13-game regular-season series this weekend in Germain Arena on Friday and Saturday night. Ex-ECHL and NHL great goaltender Olaf Kolzig will be in attendance to be inducted into the ECHL Hall of Fame and ECHL commissioner Brian McKenna will be in attendance in Germain Arena on Friday night, March 19 as well. It is Autism Awareness Night and the Everblades will be making a donation to Autism Speaks. Saturday the 'Blades and Stingrays battle for the final time in the regular season and it's Guns and Hoses Night. The police department will battle the fire department on ice at 4:30 p.m. with the Florida and South Carolina to face off at 7:30 p.m. Purchase a ticket to the game and enjoy both games on Saturday night!

GAME NOTES: The South Carolina Stingrays registered their first win over Florida in the last four games with a 3-1 victory Friday night. Goaltender Todd Ford stopped 25 shots and Jake Hauswirth recorded his 15th goal which was the game winner. Defenseman Jason Fredricks added two assists in the Stingray's fifth win over Florida this season.
Saturday, March 13 @ South Carolina North Charleston Coliseum 5:05PM
GAME NOTES: The Everblades went to overtime for the 20th time this season and claimed a 2-1 victory on Milan Gajic's game winner 3:44 into the extra session. Chris Beckford-Tseu stopped 35 shots in regulation and overtime to record his 15th win of the season. Ernie Hartlieb added the other Everblade tally in the 'Blades fifth win over South Carolina this season.
Sunday, March 14 @ South Carolina North Charleston Coliseum 4:05PM
GAME NOTES: Florida won for the second straight night to improve their season record to 6-4-1 over South Carolina. The Everblades got goals from Shea Guthrie and Mike Bayrack in the second period and held on to win 2-1. Chris Beckford-Tseu, appearing in his 20th straight contest, stopped 29 of 30 shots to record his 16th victory of the season between the pipes.
THIS WEEK
Friday, March 19 vs South Carolina Germain Arena 7:30PM
GAME NOTES: The final two meetings of the season between Florida and South Carolina. These two games will mark the fourth and fifth straight meetings between these two clubs in the last eight days. The Everblades are 3-2-0 at home against the Stingrays this season including back-to-back wins over South Carolina on February 27 and 28 in Germain Arena.
Saturday, March 20 vs South Carolina Germain Arena 7:30PM
GAME NOTES: The final regular season meeting between these two clubs and seventh meeting overall in Germain Arena. The Everblades still have their sights set on a division championship while South Carolina is battling for the overall top seed in the ECHL heading into the Kelly Cup Playoffs.

Chris Beckford-Tseu stopped 90 of 95 shots over the weekend in three straight starts against South Carolina. The Toronto, Ontario native nearly came away with two shutouts holding the Stingrays to just one goal on Saturday and Sunday in the Everblades' 2-1 victories.
