Wildcats Reach Century Mark With 3-1 Over Rocket

For the second year in a row the Moncton Wildcats have reached the 100 point plateau in the QMJHL with a 3-2 over the PEI Rocket Thursday night at the Coliseum.

The Cats scored twice in the first period and added a single in the second while the Rocket managed only one goal mid-way through the middle frame. The third period was scoreless.

Mark Barberio, Kirill Kabanov and Allain Sauliner scored for the Wildcats while Michael Stinziani got the PEI goal.

The Rocket out shot the Cats 35-30, the games three stars were Allain Sauliner of the Moncton the first star, goaltender Shane Owner was the second and Kirill Kabanov who scored the game winning goal was the third star.

In what is expected to be a preview of the first round of the playoffs, the Wildcats meet the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles Friday night at 7 at the Coliseum.
