Mavericks Announce Upcoming Promotions

INDEPENDENCE, Missouri - The Missouri Mavericks of the Central Hockey League (CHL) today announced upcoming promotions for the final eight home games of the regular season. Missouri begins the final push for the playoffs tonight when they host the Mississippi RiverKings at Independence Events Center at 7:05 p.m. Below is a list of the final eight games and the accompanying promotions for those games.

Tuesday, February 23, 2010 vs. Mississippi RiverKings, 7:05 p.m. The first 2,000 fans will receive a Rally Towel courtesy of American Family Insurance. Tuesday's game against the Mississippi RiverKings is another Price Chopper "Two-for-Tuesday" in which fans can purchase two terrace or club level tickets for the price of one. Fans must come to the Box Office on the day of the game and show their Price Chopper card to take advantage of the special offer.

Friday, February 26, 2010 vs. Tulsa Oilers, 7:05 p.m.

The ZOOperstars! will invade the Independence Events Center this Friday, February 26. The ZOOperstars! have been featured on America's Got Talent and have been called the "fastest growing entertainment act" in the country. Join Mackerel Jordan, Whale Gretzky, Bobby Orrangutang, Shark McGwire and Dennis Frogman this Friday at the IEC. It also marks the first of two $1 Hot Dog Nights. Fans can enjoy $1 hot dogs while watching The ZOOperstars! all night long.

Saturday, February 27 vs. Wichita Thunder, 7:05 p.m.

Join the Mavericks this Saturday when they host the Wichita Thunder for the final time this season at Independence Events Center. Tickets for this game are very limited and fans are encouraged to buy now if interested.

Tuesday, March 2, 2010 vs. Rio Grande Valley Killer Bees, 7:05 p.m.

The Mavericks and Shocking Prices are hosting the first ever Youth Jersey Night in which the first 1,000 kids ages 12 and under will receive a free Mavericks jersey. In recognition of March Madness, the first 1,500 fans will also receive mini-basketballs courtesy of Kryger Glass. It is also the last "Price Chopper Two-for-Tuesday" in which fans can purchase two terrace or club level tickets for the price of one. Fans must come to the Box Office on the day of the game and show their Price Chopper card to take advantage of the special offer.

Friday, March 5, 2010 vs. Colorado Eagles, 7:05 p.m.

Join the Mavericks for the second and final $1 Hot Dog Night as they take on the Colorado Eagles. Enjoy dollar dogs all night as the Mavs take on the defending Northern Conference champions.

Sunday, March 7, 2010 vs. Mississippi RiverKings, 3:05 p.m.

The Mavericks host Faith and Family Night in the only Sunday home game of the season. The local Christian band, Whosoever Will, will perform after the game and fans are also encouraged to stick around and skate with the team following the game. Tickets for the skate with the team are only $5, but are limited to first 250 people. Fans can take advantage of a Chick-Fil-A Family Four Pack and get four rinkside tickets, four Chick-Fil-A chicken sandwich vouchers and a yearbook for only $64! The family four packs can only be purchased by calling the Mavericks front office at (816) 252-7825 and are not available at the Box Office.

Friday, March 12, 2010 vs. Odessa Jackalopes, 7:05 p.m.

It's Fan Appreciation Night when the Mavs take on the Odessa Jackalopes in the final home weekend of the season. The players will wear specialty jerseys for this night only that will be auctioned off directly after the game. MoDOT is giving away 5,000 pucks, 1,000 Thunderstix and t-shirts for designated drivers.

Saturday, March 13, 2010 vs. Odessa Jackalopes, 7:05 p.m.

The Mavs are featuring Quick Change who will puzzle the audience with staggering costume transformations in fractions of a second right at center ice. Midwest Gastro is also giving away foam fingers to the first 1,500 fans. Join the Mavericks as they take on the Odessa Jackalopes in the last home game of the regular season.
