The RiverKings tonight end a four-game road trip, its longest time away from home this season. A win tonight would give the RiverKings at 3-1-0 record on the road trip and their first win in Missouri this season. Mississippi will have another four-game road trip between March 3 and 7, a trip that includes visits to Tulsa, Allen (2 games), and wind up on a Sunday afternoon on March 7 again here in Missouri.
Mississippi enters tonight's game with a record of 25-21-6 for fourth place in the CHL Northern Conference, six points behind third-place Bossier-Shreveport (which also has two games at hand). The RiverKings are also three points ahead of Tulsa, which has played one fewer game than the RiverKings this season.
Missouri has a mark of 24-23-4 for 52 points in the conference standings. A win by the Mavericks will move them into fifth place in the conference ledger.
This Friday night, the RiverKings return home to play the Wichita Thunder in a 7:05 PM matchup at the DeSoto Civic Center. Pink in the Rink jerseys will be auctioned off and a post-game skate will take place. Down Syndrome Association of Memphis and the Mid-South will be featured.
Make plans now to be a part of RiverKings history on March 13th, when the number 13 jersey of all-time scoring leader Don Parsons will be retired. A pre-game ceremony will feature a video showcasing the highlights of Parsons' RiverKings career, followed by the unveiling of the jersey banner that will be hanging from the rafters of the DCC in his honor.
Season ticket orders are already being taken for another great year of RiverKings hockey next season. For more information, call the RiverKings at 662-342-1755 or go online to www.riverkings.com today!
