Abbotsford Heat Sign Two Players

Abbotsford BC: The Abbotsford Heat has signed forwards Evan Barlow and Olivier Latendresse to PTO contracts today.

Barlow, 24, is a left winger originally from Strathmore, AB. Barlow played his junior hockey with Salmon Arm of the BCHL, before moving on to play college hockey for four seasons at Cornell. This season, Barlow has played 37 games in his rookie season in the ECHL. Barlow has scored 23 goals and 25 assists for 48 points this season.

Latendresse is a centre from Regina, SK. Latendresse played his junior hockey with Val d'Or of the QMJHL, before AHL stints in San Antonio, and Hamilton of the AHL and Phoenix and Cincinnati of the ECHL. This season, the 23 year old centre has scored 16 goals and added 29 assists for 45 points with Victoria of the ECHL.

Both players will be available for selection this evening as the HEAT take on the Atlanta Thrashers affiliate, the Chicago Wolves at the Abbotsford Entertainment and Sports Centre. Game time for Thursday's game vs. Chicago as well as Friday's rematch will be at 7:30 pm.
