Wellwood Milestone At OHL All-Star Game, Five Spitfire Players Participate

Eric Wellwood of the Windsor Spitfires made history in the Ontario Hockey League all-star game Wednesday.

Wellwood's goal for the Western Conference set an OHL record for most combined goals by both teams (23) in an all-star game.

Niagara's Andrew Agozzino scored four goals in the Eastern Conference's 17-10 win at the K-Rock Centre in Kingston Wednesday.

Windsor's Ryan Ellis had two assists, Taylor Hall added one assist while Cam Fowler and Adam Henrique were held scoreless.

In attendance was Wellwood's older brother Kyle, a forward with the Vancouver Canucks.

Prior to the commencement of the game, Spitfire great and former NHL'er Adam Graves dropped the cerermonial first puck. The Spitfires were also well represented behind the bench for the Western Conference all-star team with Head Coach Bob Boughner, Associate Coach Bob Jones and Assistant Coach D.J Smith as well as Athletic Therapist Joey Garland and Equipment Manager Tyson Tatomir all working for Team West.
