Spitfires' Game Notes

- The CHL's #3 ranked team wins its fifth consecutive game and leads the OHL with 87 points on the strength of a 41-7-0-5 record

- Windsor improves their record to 3-0-0-1 against Owen Sound this season

- Seven different Spitfires scored goals tonight led by Scott Timmins' two-goal and four point performance. Johnston, Ryan, Lanoue, Shugg, Cundari and Young all netted singles for the Spits. With Timmins' two goals tonight, he now has 21 on the season and the Spitfires have six players who have scored twenty or more goals this season - Hall, Henrique, Shugg, Wellwood, Nemisz and Timmins

- Forward Taylor Hall extended his point streak to 16 consecutive games which ties him with Ryan Martindale of the Ottawa 67's for the longest point streak in the OHL this season. Hall has also a establisthed a league high, recording 13 straight games with at least one assist, as he had one assist in today's game. He has 11 goals and 20 assists for 31 points during his 16 game point streak. He is ranked second overall in the OHL scoring race with 82 points in 45 games. Hall is also fifth in the OHL in goals scored with 34 and is ranked second in the OHL with 48 assists. He is also tied with teammate Ryan Ellis for fourth in the league with a +33 plus-minus rating

- Forward Kenny Ryan scored one goal and added three assists tonight for four points and was named the first of Windsor's victory.

- Defenseman Ryan Ellis registered three assists tonight and was named the second star of the game. He currently has a six game assist and point streak, and is also tied for seventh amongst all OHL defencemen with 40 points in 35 games.

- Goaltender Philipp Grubauer improves his record with the Spitfires to 7-0-0-1 with tonight's win and he has a 2.11 goals against average and.922 save percentage since joining the Spits. Grubauer is ranked seventh in the OHL with a.915 save percentage and tenth in the league with a.915 save percentage in 40 games

- Defenceman Mark Cundari registered one assist in tonight's game and is tied for fourth amongst OHL defencemen with 49 points in 50 games. He is also ranked first in the OHL with a +37 plus-minus rating. Defenceman Cam Fowler, who missed tonight's game due to injury, is also ranked sixth in scoring amongst rearguards with 45 points in 43 games while Ryan Ellis is ranked 8th in scoring amongst defencemen with 37 points in 34 games. Fowler is also tied for second in the OHL with a +34 plus-minus rating

- Windsor recorded 50 shots on goal tonight and this was the 13th time the Spitfires have registered 50 or more shots in one game this season

- Windsor leads the league with 23 home wins this season with only 5 losses in 28 home games. The Spitfires have now won six straight games at home

- The Spitfires scored three powerplay goals in tonight's game on five opportunities and now have the league's number rated powerplay, operating at a 26.5% clip. They have scored at least one powerplay goal in 16 of their past 17 games

- Windsor killed all six of their penalties tonight and are tied for fourth in the league with a 83.8% penalty killing efficiency
